This is an introduction to a new AAR for scenario Revisionist War 1937 version 11. Axial6 will be playing the Imperial side and I the Leftist Rebels. We have agreed on the following settings:
1. Both players agree to play a minimum of 20 turns with options to extend play after 20 turns.
2. Each side will have a capitol city and be allowed to use 5 Theater Options to enlist allies.
3. The scenario will be valid for play when the Imperial side starts the game with 3 or 4 Theater Options. More or less options is an invalid start.
4. Unit disbanding is not allowed.
The scenario map is large (300 x 300) and the maximum unit count/density low. Scenario design forces the players to think strategically when deploying, assigning goals and subdividing units. The battlefield and a sample of the units deployed follows.

Turn T07
Kobdo, Bayan, Geita and Liwate continue to open R/R lines. The line running from Kobdo to the Undur Khan frontier is fully open and Ceasar deploys units from Kobdo. Depending on how the situation develops, support from Liwate and Dalan will be deployed to Undur.
Dalan has become cut off from the western cities by Undur and Yusun. The position is not threatened, but a decision will need to be made on the best deployment of the Dalan XXII Corps.
Leftist Ceasar has decided to approach Sair Usa and negotiate an alliance. The strategic goal is for Geita, Liwate, Dalan and Sair Usa to form a solid front against the Empire which allows Ceasare’s rebels to overwhelm Yusun and Undur for control of the north.
Leftist units are close to entering Bayan for the purpose of ensuring all territory around Bayan city is under Leftist control. This should be accomplished before attempting to recruit Bayan.
A strategic Theater Option is used to begin submarine warfare against the Imperial troop transport fleet. Over time the fleet will be degraded in 20% increments which severely limits troop transport capacity.
Leftist air squadrons based in Liwate conduct airfield attacks against Yusun. Enemy casualties are moderate and are more harassment than strategic.
Through turn 7 Leftists have received 7 TOs for recruitment of allies. 4 have been used (Selected), 3 cities have joined the rebels and 3 are in reserve.

Turn T08
The Leftist battle fleet conducted a successful bombardment against the Imperial landing party on the southwest coast of Bayan. After the attack fleet units pulled back to a position between the coast and an outlying island which makes a natural choke point. The goal is to block Imperial advancement and possibly ambush lightly armed troop transports. The carrier group moved further north, out of range of enemy surface units but close enough to support with naval air.
The Leftist focus is to concentrate troops from Kobdo, Geita and Liwate and crush Yusun. Undur will be the target after Yusun is destroyed. Dalan may send some units to block Yusun from moving east, otherwise Dalan will need its strength to defend against Undur and Tszaq.
Ceasar wants the Leftist merchant fleet to deploy soon and provide the rebels with an amphibious capability.
Through turn 8 Leftists have received 7 TOs for recruitment of allies. 4 have been used (Selected), 4 cities have joined the rebels and 3 are in reserve. The Leftists plan to use their 5th and final selection to recruit Bayan.

Turn T09
With Imperial forces quickly moving in on Bayan, the Leftist decide to approach Bayan for an alliance. Potential Imperial occupation of Bayan territory would seriously limit deployment of the Bayan formation. This is a bit earlier than planned, but the Emperor’s actions make it necessary. It is also the 5th and last Theater Option the Leftist may use to gain allies.
Destruction of the Leftist High Seas Fleet forces Ceaser to re-evaluate his naval and amphibious options. Movement of troops by sea is now riskier than ever and the possibility of an amphibious operation against Pangani almost impossible. To win this war it will need to be done on the ground, on the continent.
Dalan is close to being surrounded with little expectation that the other cities can come to the rescue. The obvious strategic move is to move entire force East and participate in the destruction of Yusun. Need to scorch the earth as troops are evacuated.
Through turn 9 Leftists have received 7 TOs for recruitment of allies. All 5 allotted TOs have been used (Selected), 4 cities have joined, 1 is in deliberation and the remaining 2 will remain neutral. The 5th ally TO was used this turn to recruit Bayan.

Turn T10
Leftists have completed the R/R line from Kobdo to Bayan. Another line from Bayan to Geita is close to being opened. Ceaser is hoping that Bayan will soon join the rebellion and make the Leftist force equivalent to the Empire.
The southern defense of Geita continues to fortify their positions. So far only the Imperial advanced reconnaissance units have been identified, but it is assumed the bulk of the Mwadui and Songea formations are just out of sight.
Liwate has moved into Yusun, found the bridges destroyed and the Imperial forces evacuated. They are known to have moved north to the Khangai Mountain pass. The Leftists will continue to move north and attempt to corner the Imperialists between themselves and troops moving in from Dalan and Kobdo.
Ceaser has decided to withdraw from Dalan and move west and link up with Liwate. Imperial troops are closing in on the R/R line, so there is urgency to complete the operation.
Sair Usa has sent a unit to scout toward Tszaq and show the possibility of an attack. However, their real intent is to consolidate with the western forces. R/R lines heading west are being opened by the forward units.
The Leftist Merchant Marine finally deploys. The Empire has a significant lead in amphibious operations, but at least this gives the emperor another threat to defend against. Since the Leftist High Seas Fleet is out of action, it is questionable how effective the merchant marine can be with amphibious operations.
All Leftists TOs for recruitment of allies have been used. One city (Bayan) is still in deliberation.
