Readability of technology screen

Depending on resolution etc the technology screen can be hard to read. There are a lot of techs so it makes the text quite small, and obviously you choose your scales to make the main map and interface more readable. perhaps having some way to zoom on the technology screen would be good or something like that? Or perhaps if you click on the box, it will expand a static view of the box you have clicked? ie if for example you click on the box Chemistry, it will blow up just the box including the seven techs in the subtree of chemistry.
