John Tiller's Campaign Series v2.04.00 Public Beta Now Available

Post by MaximKI »

Hello everyone,

Please try this new beta and let us know if it helps your game. To install this update you can download from this link HERE or by going to your John Tiller's Campaign Series File Downloads in the Matrix My Page section of the webite or from the game's store page. Ensure that you unzip the file after it successfully downloads and run the update installer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have seen a number of reports of a white screen issue that seems to be mostly affecting laptops with hybrid GPU setups (e.g. Intel + Nvidia). This public beta includes a code fix that we're hoping will address the vast majority of cases. If you're still experiencing a white screen issue, we recommend updating your Intel Graphics Drivers to the latest version. Please see this link and associated thread for more info HERE.

Also, we'd like to focus player attention on testing out Rising Sun. If you encounter issues loading Rising Sun scenarios or severe map glitches, please try the following steps:
1. Check that you have the NVidia App installed.
2. Open the NVidia App and make sure that the NVidia Overlay is toggled off.
3. Restart.
4. Run Rising Sun.

If you experience any other issues with Rising Sun, or this public beta, please let us know.

Yes. Just reinstalled it. HOWEVER, none of the game load menu options work. Links to forum and game manual work properly.

Hi all,

launching the new Crete scenario causes the game to CTD.
Missing unit(s)??

I can confirm a CTD as well, regarless if I try to play it or open it with Scenario Editor. For some reason, I initially managed to open the Scenario Editor and save it under another name, but in the progress a lot of data rows were omitted.

It seems the scenario file is corrupt somehow.

Crash seems to be caused by missing British unit IDs P09613 (one reference, line 779) and P09615 (three references, lines 786,802,812) that are not available in the Platoon09.oob.

Removing said lines has the effect of being able to open the scenario either with Scen Editor or with game engine. However, saving with either one creates a corrupt scenario / btl save file.

Edit: Removing said references from Kreta 1.org did not help either.

Not sure what is going on. Jason, do you know the person who created the scenario? It would be best to ask him to edit this.

Hello. Perhaps a stupid question. Where can I download 2.03. I cannot find it under Mypage or on the main page of the game. Only 2.02 and 2.04.

Or is 2.03 not needed before I install 2.04?

Best regards,

A typo for Yelnia: Hell by any other name is the culprit for a scenario crash.

The revised file is attached. Unzip and copy and paste it into the EAST FRONT folder.
