Can Japan delay the USSrs entry into the war with diplomacy?

Curious if diplomacy will slow the Soviets entry into the war? Once they declare war on Japan it is curtains for what is left of the Japanese empire.

If Japan invades India — specifically if Axis units are near Gaya (24,57), Hyderabad (15,66), Rajput (21,62), Bombay (10,64), Karachi (3,56), or Delhi (14,53) — the British will have to decide whether to bring units from Europe. A British 'Yes', in turn, will push the USSR away from the Allies in the Pacific.

DE 812 also plays a role; the details are in the Strategy Guide.

After March 1945, Japanese diplomacy could help delay the steady Soviet move toward war.

It's tough for Japan to match what the US and the Allies can spend on buttering up the Soviets if they choose to do so.
