Problems with WitpStaff and Tracker

I installed the 32bit version of Java and when I try to run WitpStaff and Tracker I receive errors:

WitpStaff

Could not crreate or initialize database
java.lang.illegelArgumentException in {CREATE MEMORY TABLE 'Turn2Date' "date" DATE default 0000-00-00

Tracker
WARNING: Unable to find WITP directory C;\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition
INITIALIZING Witp AE Tracker database
ERROR: Save game file "E\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\tools\tracker\wpae10.pws"
could not be opened
ERROR: Problem with save game file.


Any advice/suggestion appreciated

For Tracker, there is a file in the directory called "witptracker.properties".

You should update it with your set up information. The file has comments pretty much explaining what each attribute stands for.

eg. for the game installation path:

and game save filename:

Code: Select all

SaveFile=[wpae003.pws]

THanks I got tracker going but still no WitpStaff. I had no Comrade Staff Officers in WITE2 and now no staff officers here. What's a cyber-Admiral and evil cyber-Soviet Dicator to do?

WitpStaff isn't working for many years anymore. Use WITPTracker....
