[1728.2] Surface Tutorial 1.4 Doc Pop-up Error

Post by Ataraxzy »

Messages 3&4, Surface Warfare Tutorial 4 (ASW Tutorial) pop-up instruction is formatted incorrectly and shows this on the pop-up:

(Also having the no image in right side data display problem, but I see that's already logged, so I won't pile on)

Cross-posting from a similar thread on Steam:
We had a look at this now.

The problem seems to happen when you save your current progress on a folder different from where the original scenario was loaded.

So for example if you load and start a tutorial scenario in \Scenarios\Tutorials\XYZ\Tutorial1.scen , but you actually then save in \Scenarios\MySave1.scen, the path changes. Now the save is located on a different path than the file "FlightTutorial_1_Message_3.html" that is "linked" from the tutorial scenario, so it cannot find it.

It's like saving a web page, and all its linked images, and then moving the web page file around; if you re-open the web page file, none of the images will show up.

We'll try to improve the scenario loading logic so that it compensates for this by actively searching the entire \Scenarios folder to find the missing linked briefing file even if it's not co-located with the save. But as a general rule: Save where you load.

Thanks!
