quick question

I played the free ware version to death, but just got WS today, and I can't figure out why I was able to fight one battle in the battle mode under solitary, but now when I try to fight again, the battle ends immediately, like it's just autoplaying or something. Any help is appreciated...

Did battle end in a draw? If so, theres a thread in the bug section titled "I'm getting instant draws" that may help. If not, haven't seen this one before.

yeah. perhaps the most serious bug to date. if you fight a random battle, and end in a draw, you MUST make changes to your squad before fighting again. Simply going in a spending a few DP's might be enough, from what I've experienced. Quitting the game and restarting may also fix that.
