Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

SC WWII WiE - Update v1.31.00

Hi everyone,

we've just released a new update for the game (DOWNLOAD HERE), with a lot of balancing tweaks and bug fixes, here is the changelog:

v1.31.00

GAME ENGINE
- Fixed an AP reduction error when a unit is surprised during movement (Dudeman).
- Fixed an Artillery return fire error (gamerdude).
- Fixed a UNIT script error that would not deploy naval units when a country joins/enters the war (Lothos).
- Fixed an available resolutions display error in the SETTINGS screen.
- Fixed a sleep tool CTD when combined with selecting next/previous units (John C).
- Fixed a unit supply value error for when supply sources are > 12.
- Fixed a naval zone of control display error (CptOdin).
- Fixed a TERRITORY event CTD when the RECIPIENT_ID had previously armisticed surrendered (budd).
- Fixed a Carrier attack error when Carriers are set to 100% land attack loss evasion, e.g. they would sometimes still get attacked by defending Anti-Air units.
- Fixed an Artillery error that allowed counter battery fire to fire through neutral territory (Hogart Time).
- Fixed an Artillery movement error that would reduce shells to zero if out of range of enemy units (ArcturusRising).
- Fixed an AI error that did not include Amphibious Warfare research upgrades applicable to minors for increased amphibious transport builds (El Condoro).
- Fixed a swap unit error that did not properly update control of a hex when that hex is occupied.
- Fixed a naval unit swapping error (havoc1371).
- PBEM++ Lobby will have its Tournament button shown in Green when there are turns to be played, and in Red when your opponent must play out their turns first.
- Improved AI naval combat logic, e.g. improved FLEET and combat movements and the prioritizations of attacks on enemy Carriers where applicable.
- Optimized the display of the supply values map for improved scrolling speed (TheGameSquid).
- Enhanced PBEM security (mdswift; gamerdude).

EDITOR
- Optimized campaign text loading.

CAMPAIGNS

All Campaigns
- Made some amendments to Germany and Italy's research script (Mithrilotter).

1939 and 1940 campaigns
- English Decision text file spelling of Egypt corrected (KorutZelva).
- Corrected the German text for the Decision to attack Dakar (Mexican Joker).
- Corrected Bucharest's position in the Pop Up scripts relating to there being too many Axis units within 10 hexes of Bac u (Mithrilotter).
- Corrected Vienna's coordinates in two Offensive scripts.
- Corrected the deployment location of the Lancaster Destroyer so it now arrives at Scapa Flow (OxfordGuy3).
- British XII Corps in Egypt replaced by the XIII Corps (DarkHorse2).
- An Axis declaration of war on Yugoslavia will now move the USA by 3-5% towards the Allies (Havoc1371).
- Added text to DE 112 both in game and in the Strategy Guides explaining that saying YES will lead to Italian National Morale decreasing by 1,000 points when their forces are defeated in East Africa on the 27th November 1941, and that saying NO will reduce British National Morale by 1,000 while increasing Italy's by the same amount (Duedman).
- Added a new Diplomacy script for Germany to influence a pro-Allied but neutral Finland from May 1941, with a higher chance of firing than that which previously applied from this date (Mithrilotter).
- Amended the Axis AI Unit script AXIS AI: Germany - North Africa Reinforcements - 1941 (Intermediate) (Mithrilotter).

1940 campaigns
- Corrected the Tag relating to Soviet Winter from 27 to 25 so that the correct text appears (Mithrilotter).

1941 campaign
- British XII Corps in Egypt replaced by the XXX Corps (DarkHorse2).

1939, 1940 and 1941 campaigns
- Corrected the coordinates of Siwa Oasis in Decision 121.
- Turkey's Mobilization_2 scripts for Axis advances on Sevastopol and Egypt amended so they will have more than one chance to fire in a game (umeu_1).

1943 and 1944 campaigns
- German IV Corps added in southern France (Mithrilotter).

1944 campaign
- Axis victory conditions fixed (Duedmann; Southern friend; Mithrilotter).
- Reduced the USSR's levels in Production and Industrial Technology from 4 to 3 (Mithrilotter).
- Added some new Amphibious Minor scripts (Mithrilotter).
