[Q] Cruise Missiles with Submarines

Hey There,

first of all i want to compliment the developers for the game, it realy is a masterpiece and im loving it.
My Question is why i cant use cruise missiles on submarines?
What am i making wrong? Trying for ours now....

I'm not sure what you're having an issue with, the screenshot you sent is 2 docked submarines? Do you have a save where an deployed submarine can't fire cruise missiles?

Thanks for your quick respond. I was posting the screenshot because in the weapons and magazines category the entrys are colored red even if i have the missiles on stock (think so)
I thought this maybe is some kind of locked feature which is only available in the pro version (this is what GPT told me)
The thing is im not able to get them on loadout so its impossible to fire.
I just want to get them on the submarine loaded and then strike targets.

Forgot to mention that im trying to use the Kalibr for the russian sub and tomahawk for the US.

That screenshot shows your submarines are docked in the port, submarines docked can't use weapons.

When the manual allocation window shows something in red, it also tells you why can't be fired, for cruise missiles and subs usually is due the deep of the sub or the range of the target.

I suggest you to do the tutorials first in order to be familiar with the different windows of command. They will guide you through the basic functionality of the different units, windows etc

Also, for every bug report, always include a save of the scenario you get problems with. You can zip it to upload it here. Take a look of teye guidelines here

Thanks, I managed to get a Kalibr and Tomahawk started after all even with another subs.
Your tip with too deep was good even if that was not the only problem :D
It's complicated, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

Summary.
* Just noticed that the KILO variant you have selected in the dry dock does not have any Kalibr/Sizzler in its magazine just a 0/12 weapon record - you would have to add weapons to the magazine in the editor first.

Then

Boat has to be at sea.

Check the desired weapons in the tube not in the magazine. See Weapon dialogue box - loading priority .

Click the loading priority to load the weapon and wait until it's loaded.

Check your at a launch depth, *weapons depth varies but periscope depth is guaranteed for most weapons ( except the ancient early cold war boats like Whisky Long Bin or Regulus which had to surface)

Caveat - Check the boat speed is also within weapon launch parameters .

Attack (within limitations set by weapon type) .
