Updating an Existing Scenario

Post by John 3rd »

With little to do, I just did some corrections and modifications to my Between the Storms--Air Mod. Is there any way to see those changes put into an existing game? Just rolled January 1942 and have some stuff changed to later in 42 and then in 43. Can one do that??

What changes?

You can change plane data, speed, SR rating etc, but loadouts need a player to downgrade the plane, then re upgrade. Some other data may also need a re upgrade but it does work.

If you add an Allied plane, it will start production regardless of the date it is set for.

You cannot add planes for Japan - requires a restart. But I think you can add them to a reinforcing air group as a workaround.

You can change the arrival date of a plane, provided it's already in the original game. I think the same applies to an end date. Not sure you can change the date of the plane that has started production - I assume not.

You can, I think, change production volume.

You can change the art

Not sure if you can change the air group size and or its composition of planes to enable more or fewer pilots to join. I did a lot of that in my mod.

does that help ?

Most of that, sadly, I knew. DRAT. OK. Most of the work I did will be able to be used in our existing match. Thanks!
