I haven't seen a clear effect of the SOP setting for the losses; since it seems to be override by the "Relocate When" (or this one kicks in earlier). Is there any situation when the "Acceptable Losses" would take priority over the "Relocate When".

An example would be: units with DO or DIE will always die before withdrawing or cancelling an assault. Or that has been my experience so far. Or the other "Relocate" settings will effect before the "Losses" is a factor I guess?

It has fairly subtle effects like it can make a unit with certain Roles do a Screen instead of a Hold when picking the default terminal order. It can also make a unit more likely to Scoot when taking losses. And Do or Die can prevent a unit from Withdrawing when doing an Assault or Hold.
