repairing titans between battles

Post by smc415 »

I just completed my first random mission. This is a great game. I went to load a campaign, and my titans were all still fairly well beatup from my first engagement. I blew a guy up with a chainsaw =).

In any case how do I repair my titans before going starting a campaign?

After a battle, go into the factory and select 'Load squad' pick your squad and then you will see choices where you can repair thier titans.

Its also a good thing to go to the HQ after every battle and assign any development points you may have earned.

Hope that helps

To the Titan factory go, young padawan, many useful tools to repair your titan you shall find there, yes!

Thanks a ton!. Regarding the development points...I assign them just like character creation? Also, I am now realizing/thinking that I will not be able to allocate DPs to skills I didn't originally choose. I guess I need to specialize more, combat wise when I make my next team members. That way I can grab up some of those more useful skills.

There is a limit on the number of skills you can improve. That number is the jock's intelligence attribute. Raise his/her/its Intelligence, and you may develop more skills.

After battle your xps (combat, pilot and others) will be summed up and added to your total xps which will influence your rank. Each catorgory of xps is divided by 15 to calculate your dev points which you can use in the HQ. If you raise in rank you will gain additional dev points, the higher the rank the more you get.

You still have to go to the factory (or was it hq?) after each battle to reload your ammo-dependent weapons, Larkin? I think there was a change in this somewhere in v1.4, but can't recall what exactly.

So you need a factory to repair your Titans. What if the map doesn't have a factory what do you do then?

*The* factory, as in the Factory module - one of the modules of the game. Accessible through the Command Center. What game have you been playing? :p
The buildings called factory have no effect unless specified in the map editor.

I see the confusion there is are factories in the maps that may or may not do anything. There is a factory section of the game outside of the battlefield where repairs can be done for a price. I was repairing while I was playing the levels so wasn't sure. I just thought the factory was a place to make your own designs. Something I wasn't ready to start doing yet. But it does a lot more than that. There looks like there is a lot to this game.

I knew I'd like the game. It looks like the type of board game and sci-fi background that I enjoy. I've been playing pretty much non-stop since I downloaded the deep campaign so saying I'm addicted is probably pretty close to the truth.

You wait until you start designing and testing your own titans! ... better still, in a way, is having the AI use one of your own designs to beat you with ...
