Changes to game over the lasy 4 years?

Hi,

I am considering returning to the game after 4 years. When I left, I was very experienced in it, focusing on the 1941 GC.

How has the game changed over the last 4 years? What is the current meta?

When I left the game, it was too easy for the Axis to smash the Soviets over '41/42

Specifically:

a) Have retreat path priorities been changed/randomised? (Herding Soviet retreats to ensure annihilation really kills the game)
b) Has supply system been changed? (Once mastered, it was too easy to eliminate any material Axis supply issues. Perhaps I should play with automated depot placement).
c) Has TBs changed? (Frustrating to play when locked, too powerful when unlocked eg releasing prime leaders and those SS/armoured units)

a) no
b) There are 'Logistics Level' and 'Transport Level' game options.
c) Houserules and modding are options to regulate whom to transfer.

Probably not.

I havent started a game against anyone under the latest version but previously if the Axis, as you stated, mastered supply, the game is totally unhistoric.

As suggested, house rules.

One reads the title and thinks Freudian slip "Changes to game over the lasy 4 years?" Easiest thing is probably search the release notes, or better the living manual for <change marker> as the release notes will contain many boring low level items.
