Thanks for the new scenario, I really wanted to try something related to Greenland.

SPOILER ALERTS.

v0 tested, European Coalition side.

Average results, no points. I remember you do not like points :)

In this case fortunately, because it was a complete disaster, as the losses indicate.

My strategy was to infiltrate the Agamemnon and perhaps if I was lucky to sink FL, or locate it at least so that it was sunk by the F-35s.

It failed, located it one time but not enough time for the sub or the F-35s.

However the American side was to busy destroying and sinking everything, so did not even try to occupy Nuuk. I did not read the USA side briefing yet, but I suppose they have to conquer Nuuk with land forces to win?

Sirius dog sled patrol :) Nice incorporation, but has no weapons. What is supposed to happen in the North with them?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirius_Dog_Sled_Patrol

Marines around Nuuk, I suppose they are French? For immersion rename them with French names.

Frigate Niels Juel, seems to be the only Denmark presence, besides the Sirius patrol, is it not too few for them?

Sweden Gripen have been sent to Iceland, consider adding Sweden stuff.

I would also add troops prepared for the Arctic, like the Royal Marines, Mountain divisions elements, Special Operations.

Everything is jammed all the time, is it not too much disadvantage for the European side?

The AD Typhoons seems to be located too far away to protect and engage the never ending F-18 attacks. Next time I will retreat the Naval groups north.

I would add political events, X posts, messages, etc for immersion, like you did in Sallyport. If this happened in RL a lot of this would happen.

Probably just 1 sub is too short for the European Coalition.

OK, the strategy was correct.

Tried with one of the saves and the British sub is able to infiltrate the destroyers escort and sink USS Fort Lauderdale :D

Triumph with 100 points, of course with more losses then the Turks at Lepanto as displayed above...

Nikel, thanks for testing.

Responding to some of your points:

I have added +1/-1 points for aircraft destroyed/lost

I did a general update to the missions of all forces in the scenario. the LPD now sails towards Nuuk propertly.

Sirius Dog Sled Patrol is just for flavour. It is a surveillance unit, it is keeping watch on the Space Base.

Renamed the french marines in Nuuk for immersion.

Denmark military is remarkably small, they don't have a great deal of forces to send, other countries have more/better units.

Kangerlussuaq Airport is practically full :) no room for Swedish Gripens.

Greenland is a unique challenge for ground forces. There is no infrastructure outside the human settlements. All transport is by air or sea. As a practical matter units must stay close to the settlements for logistics support. I chose the French marines to garrison Nuuk because they are completely independent of civilian infrastructure for logisticis - the LHD they deployed from is anchored a few miles away.

Additional troops would be more mouths to feed with little benefit. This war is determined at sea and in the air.

Yes, the USA has Europe beat hands down when it comes to jamming. Yes, it's not fair :)

Added a few flavour 'news report' messages.

Add a French SSN to help with the fight.

v1 tested, thanks for the updated version.

Some notes and suggestions.

SPOILERS ALERT.

Result: Major victory with 95 points.

Regarding the Gripen, perhaps they will be sent to Iceland for that reason :)

IMO NATO is not a correct name. NATO does not exist without the US. Is it not more adequate to call that side European Coalition (EC) or something like that? In RL NATO right now is wet paper and if the US invades Greenland is effectively over.

This time sent the EC naval groups North to avoid the slaughter, still some of them were sunk. And of course with the same working submarine strategy, this time with 2 bullets :)

Some of the patrolling Typhoons are diverted to Nuuk for lack of fuel, it is a also Greenland base, is it supplied?

Kindly insist :) Some action in the North is advisable. The old Thule is part of the early warning defense and important for the US side, and the EC should want to recover it. Send elements of the US Army 11th airborne division from Alaska to Pituffik to secure the base. At the same time the EC should send some forces to recover it: French Chasseurs Alpins, Norway Arctic rangers and the High North-focused Brigade Nord, UK Royal Marines Commandos, German Gebirgsjäger. All these suggestions are Arctic prepared according to Perplexity AI, and would add a lot of immersion.

Only could see 1 special message, perhaps because the scenario ended fast. When the scenario ends and the US is defeated I would expect another juicy SM :)

Points per AC works, however if you decide to add points, there should be also per ship/sub/land, at least for the more important ones.

I have to try yet the US side, but is the FL really able to arrive to Nuuk in the scenario time?

This time the subs were ready to strike, however they were not needed, to my surprise it was the novice F-35 who managed to sink the FL, so this 2nd way to win the scenario for the EC also works :D

Perhaps there is something wrong with the destroyers, this time they were not able to stop the barrage of missiles, while in v0 they were.

The missiles displayed this message, but impacted in the FL, could it be a bug?

I'll look into those issues.

As far as a ground assault on Pituffik Space Base - again it's a big logistics problem. How you propose the forces get there?

Even in August ice impedes maritime access that far north. The logical staging point Kangerlussuaq Airport is 700 nautical miles to the south. European forces are not trained for dogsled operations. Too far to walk or helicopter there. The are no roads or railway lines. Snow mobiles and tracked vehicles need fuel. An airborne drop is risky and prone to failure.

If you can suggest how European forces plausibly deploy to the Space Base, I'll implement it :)

A UK or French SSN popping up through the ice to insert special operations forces could be cool. Though if USA reinforces the Space Base garrison (they have the luxury of flying cargo planes of troops on to a big runway), the SOF would be outnumbered.

I have imagined it the way described below, but if you limit all the transport possibilities for the EC side, it is impossible...

The US side has the initiative so they are the first to arrive, elements of the 11th airborne are airborne deployed from Alaska to Pituffik to secure the base. ACs escorts to protect them.

When they arrive, the Sirius patrol will notice it and inform to the European Arctic Command in Nuuk, sats communications I suppose. This way you give a real role to the denigrated Sirius Patrol.

German or French A.400s can deploy the troops that Perplexity suggested, or any other paratroopers you may think about, from Nuuk to Pituffik it is possible without refueling. They also should be escorted.

The size or strength of both sides land forces should be similar so that is winnable from any side.

With helicopters, Special Operations Chinooks that can be refueled and could transport SO Teams from Alaska.

The European side is buying them apparently, but could not find them in the db.

https://defensemirror.com/news/36328/U_ ... elicopters

There could be also air battles between escorts and interceptors to hunt down the transports.

Sub deployed RN Marines commandos is another alternative as you said, it is shown in Pole Positions scenario in this case with a SEAL Team.

Too few to take the base back, even for the 150-200 Space Command forces deployed there that I suppose are not crack troops :)

Well, it is a game, there is no reason to limit the fun with realities

I DO want a fun scenario, so maybe pushing realism wouldn't be so bad...
