Having trouble with getting decent UI visual settings

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Having trouble with getting decent UI visual settings

Post by bradfordkay »

Okay, I'll this with an admission to not being super-computer savvy anymore. Life was easier before Microsoft made things so complicated.

The bottom bar and the pop-ups are sufficiently legible to these old eyes. It is the unit screens that come up in a fairly tiny font. Is there any setting adjustment that can fix this. I am using 1920x1080p, which is also my default setting for my computer display.

One of the reasons I'm holding back buying this is the tiny font. The font in many of the boxes In the youtube videos is crazy tiny.

I want to see if someone manages to get a font large enough to not get eye strain.

UI scaling is basicly a must these days with all different resolutions and monitor sizes out there.

That helps a little, though the magnified portion is too small to be truly useful in reading those unit boxes.

For me I matched my screens current resolution exactly and kept the windowed checkbox checked as ON

Same here. I can live with the tiny font in the unit boxes though I wish they were just a bit larger. Blank screens in the weapons database boxes are an issue.
