Don't ever change your resolution
Yeah this one needs more time in the oven.
Changed the resolution to what it CAN do (1920x1080) from the impossible 4k it was set to by default. Saved. Restarted.
In a loaded game the LCU List is now nowhere to be seen, but it invisibly blocks the left third of the screen where now nothing can be clicked. Game is Full Screen even if set to windowed. A click on PREFERENCES in the main menu freezes the game. A click on PREFERENCES in a loaded game freezes the game.
Frustrating to say the least.

yes, i have the same problem. Hopefully there will be some kind of a patch/upgrade in future. You can play the game, but certain things work differently as how it is explained in the tutorial.

I think Bill fixed this for the patch 1.
The only responsible person. (Unless I can frame someone else)
Re: Don't ever change your resolution
When will patch 1 arrive?

The whole UI needs a rework .. nothing is working without any troubleHoeist6634 wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:53 am yes, i have the same problem. Re: Don't ever change your resolution
Fingers crossed. It is a really nice game with a LOT of potential. But the UI must be improved for sure.francescomolina wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 11:36 amThe whole UI needs a rework .. nothing is working without any troubleHoeist6634 wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:53 am yes, i have the same problem. I have had no trouble with the UI.

Because I have had no issues with the UI, I can't directly help you. But there are other threads with solutions for people who did have issues with the UI and various screens.HelmutHerr wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 7:58 pmI agree. That post does nothing for all of us who cannot currently play the game because of UI issues.

Re: Don't ever change your resolution
Then what are you trying to accomplish by posting it? Are you saying all the issues we are having aren't legit because everything is peaches and cream for you? Not something I want to hear after paying $40 for a game I cannot even play.RangerJoe wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 10:11 pmBecause I have had no issues with the UI, I can't directly help you. Re: Don't ever change your resolution
You can't even play it? That's quite the exaggeration. I have the same problem and have found that exiting the game and reloading restores the LCU list just fine. Since the load time is ridiculously short this shouldn't be too inconvenient while waiting for the patch to fix it.HelmutHerr wrote: Tue Feb 03, 2026 1:51 amThen what are you trying to accomplish by posting it? Re: Don't ever change your resolution
I have told you that there are solutions to some of the display issues. They are on forum threads, you can look there. Because I had no problems, I don't know the solution. Start looking for yourself and see if someone already had posted the issue and what the solution is.HelmutHerr wrote: Tue Feb 03, 2026 1:51 amThen what are you trying to accomplish by posting it? Who asked you, RangerJoe? Do you go into all the problem threads to post that you don't have that issue and can't help? We came to ask if anyone could help, which is the way forums work.RangerJoe wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 10:11 pm Because I have had no issues with the UI, I can't directly help you.
It's been a while since I wandered around the Matrix forums, but it all comes back to me now. This is the level of autism that is to be expected here. Soon Alfred will post, scolding me for not having read the Terms and Conditions or something.
Anyway, Alessandro up there (a guy who chimes in to help instead of stating that he can't) has already said these problems might be solved by patch 1, which is fine.
And BTW, if you think none of us may have restarted the game and maybe reloaded the save before posting here, that says more about you than us.Andar wrote: Tue Feb 03, 2026 2:00 amYou can't even play it? Re: Don't ever change your resolution
I gave the answer that I don't personally know the answer but other people may have had the same problem, posted the issue, and received an answer on how to fix it. Do you need a special solution listed for you when the solution may have already been posted? That is what looking around might help you find which is why I posted what I did.reggimann wrote: Tue Feb 03, 2026 8:47 amWho asked you, RangerJoe? Your fixation on personal issues actually says more about you than about myself and other people who may try to help you.

Four posts but you still haven't stated WHAT UI issues, never mind provided any details, screenshots etc. Do you:HelmutHerr wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 7:58 pmI agree. That post does nothing for all of us who cannot currently play the game because of UI issues.
- have the specific issue that was posted above about changing screen resolution during a game and losing visibility of the LCU list, and
- does restarting the game not fix it?
Re: Don't ever change your resolution
The game is not full screen if you have windowed ticked, it just appears to be, because the Windows Title Bar for the window is just off the top of the screen. If you use the I,J,K,L hotkeys (up, left, down, right) you can move the window around your screen. A single quick press of K should reveal the title bar, with the minimise/maximise buttons. The J, K buttons would be useful to someone who has an ultra-wide screen, they can move it horizontally left or right on their screen.reggimann wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:24 am Changed the resolution to what it CAN do (1920x1080) from the impossible 4k it was set to by default.
The LCU list is a window in its own right. If you are in an situation where the LCU list should be visible, ie. not when you have an individual LCU details window open, then try:
Moving a Window: If a window is off-screen, press Alt + Spacebar, then M, then use arrow keys to move it back into view.
I can't test that because my Alt+Spacebar is set by another application that is over-riding the default Windows key combination. But that solution was very common in the past when it was really easy to end up with a window off-screen and not visible to interact with it with the mouse. If that is the problem. You mention it blocking the left of the screen as if it is there, but not visible, rather than off the screen. I never saw this before, and before Helmut starts bitching, me and especially RangerJoe have been playing the game for a while now
Since your screen resolution issue seems to be a preference to drop from 4K [I did exactly the same, when I found 4K provided no enhancement to the graphics and prefer to use Windowed view which I think is only available on lower resolutions]. Then I would suggest try going back to 4K and checking if the LCU list returns OK, and is not minimised. Then restart the game and change your preferences from the menu screen, rather than from within the game. Now load your save.
The position of the LCU list is one of those things not stored in either the save files nor the preference settings. It should come back open at default size on the left hand side of the screen/window.
