Rookie's question-Combat Pop-Up

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Rookie's question-Combat Pop-Up

Post by designer1 »

When I view the combat pop-up display, obtained by right-clicking in the overrun area, it frequently states the defender's value, say for an undefend strongpoint, as "5 (+3 for next)".

I've searched the manual and tutorial book - can't find out what on earth that "+3 for next" is referring to.

Thanks in advance for replies.

in the case above, it means you need to find 3 additional attack points to push the odds up to the next level.

Very cool feature.

Thanks! And WOW! Yes = that IS a very cool feature. I've been playing this game for about 8 hours now - it's a holiday - and the more I play it, the more I'm loving it.

It is a nice feature, but I think it would also be nice to see the reverse as well. That is, how many attack points you can get rid of before you drop to the next lower odds. This is also useful when trying to minimize the number of units to participate in an attack.
