Where did my unescorted TF disengage to?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Where did my unescorted TF disengage to?

Post by burningman »

Hi there,

I've recently spent some time to locate an Amphibious TF that was on its way from Barcelona to Mallorca and got ambushed by an enemy Surface Fleet. According to the Combat Report, it "disengaged".

Essentially, the TF fled in some (random?) direction or it tried to reach a nearby friendly port. That's in accordance with the manual: "Non-combat task forces will try to disperse and flee".

But shouldn't it be mentioned in the Combat Report, like ".. and it fled to Hex XY / to port Z / in the general direction of ABC ..." ?

It would be nice, but I think part of the problem is the task force can have multiple encounters each turn. A task force could flee half-way across the med through 4 or 5 encounters.

Could try utilizing list all task forces screen to find one quicker.
