Lend Lease

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Lend Lease

Post by hightower88 »

It is not clear to me how to send TFs to the offmap bases. I see the hexes on the edge of the maps but the ships can't go directly in them by setting destination.

How do I send ships to pick up supplies? Then, what is the strategy around this? For the Republicans, how many ships and what kind should I be sending?

It's just a little unlcear how to approach this and any insights/images would be great

Yea, there are off-map entrance/exit points (green arrow)

Simply follow the thin lines on the edge of the map and you'll find them.

One aspect to get use to are "travel" times. when a fleet is in transit you can just hover over the task force and it will tell how many hours in transit needed.

Just set the destination of a task force to an off-map base location like you would any other base. The task force will set for the nearest exit point.

When you create a TF, for example in Cadiz, enter (by clicking on the hex) the destination port, for example Spanish Guinea. The TF will find its way to the destination port and enter the off-map routes optimally.

Ships can exit and enter from any map edge, those boxes are there just to let you know about the task forces coming in.
