IA Takeover

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

IA Takeover

Post by Ikiv5 »

Hello, I had a strange issue. The IA of the game has taken over my PBEM turn. Every turn every unit without a specific order like move o attack get new orders as if computer controlled, all aviation is changed, it divides units send them according its master plan :) Impossible to continue playing that way. I tried to put on manual the airplanes but not even that worked. Any clue how i can deactivate the IA overtake in the running game ? Thanks in advance

If you had started with the AI playing that side, the orders from the AI will still be executed.

Hi. Thanks for the answer. No, it is a PBEM human vs human I have another slot playing against IA, also as republican and the changes are made in my own forces. I see at the turn process fast message about LCU and IA doing planning. The only thing related was to test the IA button in the info overview panel, but didnt save anything as my turn was already sent...I tried to reinstall as i didnt knew if it had created some script file or something, tried to see preference changing user interface if there where some option to prevent that with no result. So now the nationalist players has no issues and for me its impossible as every unit which finish my command in the report sequence gets new orders, divides troops...etc as if it was AI controlled. And i checked just in case the setting but it was on 0 again for the IA intervention. Thought updating to the latest patch would solve it but it didnt so after 2 turns with the same issue in GC. My polite guess is that must be something that is nested in the save file a general option which i am missing. Any clues are welcome.
I´ll attach an image, in this case the ship part, but happens too in the other branches.

Those are AI moves. I suggest having a second installation for your AI game. Don't mix the PBEM and the AI games since it appears that something is leaking from the AI game to the PBEM game.
