Clarification on AD (Destroyer Tender)

Post by Dereck »

I have guides that say ADs can repair and rearm destroyers but what I have seen so far indicates only torpedoes. Can an AD rearm the 5inch gun on destroyers too? (I might be getting confused and confusing myself to where I don't understand what I'm seeing)

Thanks

Yes.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Like AEs and AKEs, the AD would have to have enough supply capacity to meet the load cost involved. Allied ADs are sizeable but I am not sure if the IJN doesn't have some very small ones (for repair assist only).

As already said. yes!

Aux vessels follow the exact same rules as port/AE/AKE/AR but with the added restriction of who. The who is based on size of ship which in turn down to the ships ability to carry large items, their ability to load/inload them and logistics, a huge part. How many BBs are there compared to DD and do you what huge shell taking up space when more smaller shells are needed etc etc.

For any of this to work the Aux needs
To be disbanded
Have cargo capacity greater than the rearm cost of the weapon it is rearming.
Have supply
Have op points remaining

If it has these then it can rearm and repair upto it's class of vessel although major repairs do have more limitation placed on them.
