Ports and Airports

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Ports and Airports

Post by josemanuel2804 »

Hi
In the game as long as we progress we take new ports and airports from the enemy
How are we supposed to use these infrastructures ?
Where are the units necessary to make them work ?
Should we create them ? if so, where do we take the lements to do so or the TOI's ?
Any help will be welcomed

Just bring in air support units, logistical units, naval support units, or whatever other unit is needed.

They can "work" with no units.

You can but as you move forward you can move units that are now in the rear areas to the new bases.

I hope that those answers help.

For logistical units, you can create those from captured devices. Change the Loot unit which is a Reserve (RSV) unit into a Logistical Unit.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'll add that you can use an airport without an Aviation unit, but the planes will have no maintenance crews, and will all eventually break down....which is not good. So you really need an aviation unit there to use it (exception: You can transport troops TO the airbase just fine without an avaition unit; they can get serviced on their home airfield. A great example is that the Nationalists can fly troops from San Ramiel, the airbase near Tetuan, to any airstrip no problem)

Ports don't require any units to work, but do work faster if there is a Naval Support Unit there
