Turn Summary Inaccuracy

Post by Q-Ball »

Attached is a turn summary from my current PBEM Game, August 1 1936. As you can see, there is alot of carnage on this report. But I think it's very inaccurate, and I wonder if there's a problem.

1. LOSSES: Losses this turn are not even remotely close to 33K and 44K....that might be a CUMULATIVE number? But my understanding is that's it's supposed to be turn by turn
2. BASES: Same with the bases, that looks cumulative if it's somehow accurate
3. AIR LOSSES: I am Nationalist; this screen reports 2 Nationalist Air Losses. I have lost 1 plane. This should be accurate for my own side (no FOW)
4. SHIPS: If this is cumulative, there should be ship losses (there were no actual ship losses this turn)

What's going on here? I've posted before that I think the loss reports are ridiculously inaccurate as it is, but this is so far off it has to be a bug

Is that all for one turn? That seems excessive - especially for the number of lost bases.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Apparently it is for one turn......here is the following turn:

Here is the game screen so far......this carnage is not showing in loss of life at bottom, which is good, because we are NOT losing 40K per turn...not even close. The ship losses are accurate:

However, the plane losses are NOT. My opponent confirmed that he has not lost 9 planes. This report indicates I lost a Dragon Rapide last turn; I absolutely didn't. Those are easy to keep track of; there is only 1 3-plane unit which arrived 3 days ago, it's fine, and I haven't produced any yet either.

Something is way off

I would get the saves together and then contact Alessandro.

The older releases had a bug that would add up the turn summary as well as the text of the operations report. Especially for the republican player.
The upcoming release V 165-54-8 should fix that.
And also add the game ID number to text file names in REPORTS so any given game does really only load text files that were produced by that very turn.
The only responsible person. (Unless I can frame someone else)
