Kull's Set up.... General question

Post by Gilmer »

So, after owning this game for 17 years I have finally started playing. I am pretty sure I have said this before, but I'm really doing it now.

How long did it take people using Kull's set up to go through everything for the first turn?

Or how long did it take you the first time you set up after the first surprise turn?

I think the very first time I played it took 12 hours. Allies with historical first turn.

I think I am down to 4-5 hours now.

Thank you.

This post seems weirdly like a second post. Mayube I have something going wonky in my settings. I think I did click post twice because I had the spinning thinking icon on the screen.

Cheers!

I usually get Allied set up under 2h, remember, you don't have to do everything during first turn.

Though I have played the game as Allies so many years, that clicks are almost automated from my spine. 8-)

Wow, 2 hours.

I am probably about 24 hours in. Time seems to fly when I'm doing this.

Well, I don't use spreadsheets.

You might want to check my AAR for general strategy. I did some editing to scen in that AAR, mentioned there, but same strategies apply without those edits.

I find it helps to develop a routine pathway in checking bases. I also make notes during a turn for things that need to be checked and do them first before going through my pathway.

I have done this pathway of checks for many years now and I still forget things! Seems to be happening more often as I get older.

There's a lot to remember! Taking notes definitely seems important.
