Shouldn't this unit be gone?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Shouldn't this unit be gone?

Post by Q-Ball »

Question: This unit has a withdrawl date of 9/20/36. It is 10 days past that date. It's not in contact with enemy forces

Why hasn't it disbanded/withdrawn?

It is a fragment of a garrison.....but those fragments should go away along with the parent unit...correct?

Please look in village of Garandas in Asturias, and San Emiliano....both places have units that should be gone. There are a couple others

In all cases, they are fragments of Static Garrison units

I will disband them since they should be dead, but wanted to get this to you first

I tried to disband the units in Garandas even, and couldn't do it.....despite the fact that there is not a Nationalist unit within 3 or 4 hexes

Thanks for the save. Getting the save will show what happens in the code. That should provide some answers.

A couple more observations if this helps:

1. These units that won't disappear are all "fragements", leftovers from "Parent" units that were destroyed (usually jsut the Static Devices).

I noticed the Parent units were available to be re-created from the "Recall Destroyed LCU" list PAST their disband date. As soon as I brought back those units though, the "Child" unit would disband as well as the "Parent". Hope that helps

As of November 5, 1936, all these units are now gone anyway, because I cleared the "Recall Destroyed LCU" list

The Save seems to be based on a custom SCN 28 that I do not have on my end.
Can you please ZIP and provide that custom SCN for me ?
