As a long time Combat Mission fan and community member, the lack of a game taking place in East Asia has been felt by very many of us. We would love to see the Combat Mission engine tackle a largely untapped slice of military of history.

The Battle for Normandy, though significant, and a centerpiece in WW2, has been depicted and analyzed thoroughly. When Combat Mission chooses a theme, it uniquely has the ability to deeply portray the tactical and historical factors at hand. Not repeating a past setting would give the franchise an opportunity to further contribute to our collective ability to directly interact with history.

The Korean War, The Campaign to recapture the Philippines in 1944, and the Second Sino-Japanese War are all largely underrepresented settings with diverse tactical problems and perfect conditions to make an excellent Combat Mission title.
