Q. Night vision goggles

Post by Nikel »

In a land battle during the night, Marine units have problems detecting enemy units.

Added to their sensors, night vision goggles 3rd generation of 2 types, and they will detect contacts at the same distance as with binoculars, you may win some crucial seconds though :)

The nearby green contacts detected by another units are not updated.

Or in another example, you will not see who fired at you and advance beyond them not sighting anything. The red side has not night vision devices.

Is it a bug or WAD? Feature not added?

Is movement affecting detection? I'd have a hard time spotting too while moving at a rapid walk

No, moving at 1 kts or 2 km/h and seems to happen the same.

In this example, the contact was detected at the same time and at the same distance by the binoculars and by the night vision goggles.

This is the scenario if you want to test. The 2 Marine units with night vision devices are separated from the rest, 1 sniper and 1 platoon.
