Quality of Life Suggestion – Assign One Transport Route to Multiple Units

Post by drleon »

I would like to suggest a quality-of-life improvement for naval transport.

When preparing a large overseas invasion, many transport units often have to follow exactly the same route.

At the moment, I have to assign the same route to every transport individually. If I have 30–40 transport units, I must repeat exactly the same sequence of clicks for each one. On long routes, I also have to extend the route manually for every transport.
Could you please consider allowing players to assign one movement route to multiple selected transport units at once?

Suggested workflow:

Select multiple transport units.
Define the route once.
The same route is automatically assigned to all selected transports.

This would not change the game mechanics or AI behavior. It would simply eliminate a large amount of repetitive clicking when organizing large naval operations.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

This would be a nice feature for naval units in general. 8-)

Also on my wish list, for those of us who fret over what particular units our HQs are commanding each turn it would be nice to have a mass 'deselect' switch for each HQ so you don't have to tediously deselect this or that unit attached to it while rearranging any HQ command assignments. Just starting from a clean slate is sometimes easier.
