[LOGGED] Circling and Crashing Aircraft in Paracel Strike

Post by rmeckman »

In the Paracel Strike scenario (Tides of War using game version 1.10 b 1900.8), many civilian aircraft end up circling and eventually crashing, mostly near Vietnam. These aircraft appear to be on ferry missions to airports that are inside of a no-nav zone covering the South China Sea and nearby land. Two civilian airports are inside the no-nav zone.

hi rmeckman
in order to investigate your specific situation we need a savefile.

Thanks

The savefiles are the unedited scenario files from Tides of War. There are three civilian airfields located within the no-nav zone called Zone 2. The action named Lua_airtraffic generates ferry missions to these airfields that the aircraft can never complete, so the aircraft end up circling and eventually running out of fuel. A simple fix may be to move the western and northern boundaries of the no-nav zone so the airfields are outside.
