BF 109F cannon forward rather than centre config

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

BF 109F cannon forward rather than centre config

Post by matchwood »

Hello,

I've been reading how some German pilots preferred the centreline armament on the BF 109F because of its accuracy. Especially for deflection shooting. Interesting in the game that the cannon is FF rather than C which would give it an accuracy bonus in the game mechanics.

Just wondering if this was deliberate? It potentially has a big impact on the BoB 1941 scenario. Having the 15mm gun FF means it's probably underselling how deadly this armament was?
