Tool coasts

Post by welk »

The tool to create coasts is really problematic : each time we want to place a coast graph, we have to examine more than hundred different coast graphs.

A suggestion to Hubert and Bill : Perhaps, a future update could introduce the following process, that works almost in same way than actual system, but more easy

When user would want to create a coastal hexagonE, he could do that :
1/ To place in an hex "A" a coastal graph
2/ Then to select this concerned hex "A" (left clic)
3/ Then to place (or to let) the mouse on a hex that is adjacent to hex "A" (just to place it, without clicking)
4/ Then to use keys « + » and « - » to display coast graphs (and the program, in this defilement, should display only graphs that may "match" (compatibility) with graph that is already on hex "A).

The number of coastal graphs to examine in each case would be highly reduced

In the actual system, we have more than hundred cosatal graphs to examine because the program disoplay all coastal graphs. And why do the program display all coasts graphs ? Simply because it has no any reference of what coast graphism we ask to him.

My proposition is that :
First, to place a coastal graphism in a hexagone (named "A").
Then to select the hex "A" (left clic)
And immediatly after that to just place (without clicking) the mouse curser on a adjacent hex.
And then to use the keys "-" and "+" : in this case, the programm will have one exact reference about what we are asking for => he will know that we are asking for a coastal graph that is full compatible with the coast graph already placed on hex "A". As consequence, program will propose us a reduced number of coastal graphs

The conversion map tool is also interesting, but in all cases we finally need to finalize work manually, and what I propose could solve the problem in efficient way
