Nation Unit Rosters - Platoon.oob Editing

Post by MrSquattingVCwhisSKS »

Greetings to all, this is my first post here.

I'm trying to transfer units from one nation roster to another (France to S. Vietnam), and while they do appear on the OOB Editor and with the correct unit .bmp, they don't have any firepower/firing range when selected in a scenario. I've pasted their exactly unit lines from France's Platoon.oob file to S. Vietnam's, the only difference is that I assigned unused Unit IDs so they wouldnt't conflict with the game's native units (I've crossed them with all Platoon ID from all Nations' OOBs to make sure.

Anybody has any idea of how to make these "unit transfers" work properly? I've read the manual but probably I'm missing something.

Worth noting that it still shows the French Army logo in the Unit Viewer, even if listed with S. Vietnam. But I could rectify that copying Up080002 and renaming it with the free unit ID I assigned to the copied unit

Yes, that's true. If you use the no encryption short cuts, then you can edit them and use them at your leisure.
