Load Scenario Button

Post by Ormand »

Here is a snapshot of the editor where you set a scenario to be loadable and the button to click to load it.

When editing a scenario click the "Setng" button at the top, then in the property sheets window select "Import & Other Settings". The red arrow shows the button to toggle on/off whether the current scenario file is loadable in the editor. This means that every save file from an existing game can later be loaded in the editor.

To edit, enter the editor, e.g., the main screen, navigate to this screen click the button indicated by the green arrow and then select the saved game that you want to edit.

There is a BIG caveat though. You can't edit everything. You can only edit some things for the current regime. You can edit the map, but you can't really edit aspects of the game, for example SFType data (I haven't tried but maybe you can if you detach the masterfile). With FOW on, you can only see what the current regime can see.

Also, some things might not work very well. For example, adding a regime this will likely screw up which turn it is, which you can see near the top under "start turn". Be warned that you can break things in your game, so be sure to save stuff.
