PC specs

Post by stubby331 »

Hi all,
Have had a good search around both Matrix and Panthers website and I cant find any info on minimum computer specs for this game.

The game sounds great and I am keen on obtaining it when it is released.

Could someone enlighten me?

thanks. :)

Actually, I'm trying to confirm with Matrix on these. It's most likely that we will not be supporting Win 95 or NT4 SP4 and that the min graphics card will be an 8Mb one. Also these are the minimum specs. We recommend 800 Mhz CPU and 128Mb RAM.

So, are you saying that DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 is definitely out? Gee, I hate it when game companies force you to upgrade a perfectly good working environment. :)

Actually, that is one of the nice thing about strategy wargames, the system requirements don't seem to be so steep. I remember when I was playing flight sims. They would release these games to run optimally on machines that didn't even exist yet. Of course, that approach can give a product some real longevity. But it does seem that strategy wargaming is much easier on the old wallet.

Trouble is I like my shooters too much :) It is handy that AA and the like don't require absolute behemoths of machines to run though. I recently had my primary machine 'fall over' several times with a variety of problems whilst in the middle of an online game. Fortunately I was able to switch over to an older machine (650mhz, 128mb RAM) and eventually carry on.
