New Game / File Depot On Wargamer

Post by Shaun Wallace »

Hi Guys,

The nice people at Matrix have said I could post details of The Wargamer new scenario and file depot on the forum.

You can now post all of those custom scenarios that you have created for SP and share them with ease. Now I know a lot of here have been for a long time wanyway lol, but now that its been totally revamped, I wanted to let you all know its ready to use again.

The new and totally revamped depot is here:
Wargamer Game - File Depot

Cheers

Very nice and slick site with (SPWaW) content that is building nicely.

I really think a site like this is instrumental in maintaining the momentum and interest in any game.

Well done.

Yes, this is a delight. For those interested, I'm revising all my SPWAW scenarios for version 7.1+. They will also work in version 8.0.

This means that over time I'll be posting over 100 scenarios to the Depot, some of which you have not seen before. It will be a very complete package.

There are even a few small campaigns in SPWAW that will also go up there, including the Munda Campaign which is already there.

I'm posting 2-4 a day on the Game Depot at the Wargamer, so plan to collect them all if you wish to do so. All updated and ready to play in version 7.1 and version 8.0 when it appears.

Hope to see you there!

Wild Bill's Scenarios

Wild Bill is it possible to get the scenarios that you post to be put together in one package ( 3-4 scenarios per post or however many you post at one time)?:)

Jarhead! Gotta love your picture, Captain Miller in action. Ever played my Saving Private Ryan Scenario,...the fight at Ramelle?

I'm revising that one and hope to have it posted soon. In fact a number of movies are on the way, "Walk in the Sun," and a couple of others.

I did a whole movie series once in the old Steel Panthers. I was told it was a waste of time. Actually it did as well or better than some of the others.

I wonder what movies you guys would like to relive in SPWAW? Let me know.

As to packages, I could do them. THere are some packaged scenarios of mine in the Games Depot. THe Tiger package has six scenarios built around German Tiger action. Now Fabio Prado would love that!

Jess wouldn't of course. Maybe we should build an M-4 package, Jess. I have some background on famous M-4 tank hunters.

Man the ideas are flowing.

But as a general rule I post them individually. I do this because folks might want just one scenario out of a package and don't want to spend the time downloading some that don't interest them.

Now what WBW scenario would not interest you, I ask

Just kidding! We all have our favorite battles, theaters of war, time periods and units.

So maybe I'll build a Pacific Package, a West Front package, etc. Food for thought.

After all this idle rambling, there are two "packages" at the Games Depot. They are the Tiger Package and the Munda Package.

I'll consider more like that.

Thanks for the question, Jarhead! Semper Fi!

Thank you, Double D!

More going up every day. Now that most of MC-SE is completed, I have more time to devote to this task. There are about 60+ up there now, so I am a little over 1/2 done.

I don't suppose you have a list anywhere of the "Campaigns" you have done  I am looking to download some of the smaller ones to do AAR's on. It will be mainly geared toward the newer SPWAW players who may be intimidated by size and scope of the Russian Steel and Stalingrad ones. Something small enough I can take them step by step that won't take months to finish.

The smaller ones, 5-9 scenarios include:

Watchword Freedom - East Front
The Victors - US vs USSR in 1945
Arras- (3 Battles) Germany vs UK
Preparing the Way (N Africa) US vs Germany
Heroes of the Motherland (12 battles) USSR vs Germany East Front
The Hated Hurtgen (5 battles) USA vs Germany

The others are a little longer...WB

I stand corrected, Irinami. In fact, the Munda campaign is one of my personal favorites...even after doing the design of it. I've played it probably four times and still enjoy it.

Its a short one, 3 battles. The same is true with Arras. For those who are just starting or who prefer not to spend too much time in one thing, these would be ideal.

Thanks, my friend...WB
