xp/memory/ega bios compatibility solution

In case some are still having problems running W.I.R. or W.i.t.P. because of memory/bios compatibility or configuration problems with Winxp or Win2000, DOSBOX a free dos emulator works fine for me and a few others who have otherwise noncompatible new laptops. It is only at version 0.58 and still has some problems (especitally color changes when switching from full screen to windowed mode), but works well otherwise. It is the only way I have found to play these dos programs inside a window. It also give 637 kbytes of free conventional memory! Make sure you read and understand the directions (how to mount the file the game is in as a hard drive, etc.); the instructions are trivial to anyone who can understand the arcane rules of these two great wargames.
