Yes Tamas I also hope this will go past '41 :D How about we persuade Josan as well? ;)

Stalin was impossible to find during the last two weeks since the treacherous Nazi invasion, so there is no comment from Stavka as yet. Down with Capitalism!

How about a new historic house rule?

... Germans have to stay around Smolensk and not attack Moscow until late august in 41 (or anyone with a name beginning with "jo" and end with "san" it is early september of 41) and only party around:)

It would be enough to survive 41:)

Normaly I would say it is extremely hard to survive 41 against an agressive german player, and Josan is "slightly" agressive attacker:)

Turn 4.

The Red Army has dissapear. Not resistance at all. The Stavka are still sending units to cut off the german supply spearheads. He managed to do in the south where 2 Pz korps seen the comunications broken for a while

However, the supply lines that goes to Leningrad and Moscow are well secured by now.

Panzers from AGN are now in range to strike Leningrad when the infantry from 18th Army arrived to secure Pskov. Demyansk is also in attack range from a Pz Kops that overruned a soviet and nasty soviet HQ on his way

Vitebsk has fallen to AGC and Guderian are now in the outskirts of Smolensk. The infantry, as expected from High Command, can follow the speed of the panzers.

The Army Group South are near to strike Kiev and the Dniepr. The panzers are ready for the hard duty that Hitler, our Fuhrer, expext of us. We will die for them against the soviet and evil StaK62lin:mad:

However, two Pz korps from AGC are placed near Gomel in case AGS needs some support :p

Losses since start:

Axis/USSR :

sq: 1080 / 18370
afv: 123/ 5181
guns: 101/ 6620
planes: 350 / 6031

Sieg Heil :D

House Rules?

Post by MikeB »

Are you still playing with House Rules that change of unit from one HQ to another is virtually virboten?

Kerry of NewZealand(German) and Mike of Canada(Russia) have actually gotten to Nov 30 42...from Jun 41. Germany is poised to attack Kharkov and Kursk. Otherwise, the Germans are far from Leningrad and Moscow is a distant airflight away. see other thread NewZealand vs Canada.

In his first public appearance after the treacherous attack, StaK62lin vows to fight to the bitter end against the evil Jositler! Image "The mad Fascist invaders are meeting their doom even as we speak. Panzer troopers around Zhitomir have reportedly eaten the local dogs after being left 3 weeks without food by their Nazi Capitalist oppressors! Image If they finally smarten up and surrender me might give them some hot meals in Siberia Image" End of public radio address. Long live the wise leadership of the Party! Down with Jositler and his minions! Image

Turn 5. 7/20/41

At last the powerful german army has find something to kill  The first line of soviet defence has been reported in Demyansk. The initial, probing attacks, failed, but units from 3rd Pz korps will support the attacks of the panzers of Army Group North.

The advance continues speedly in the rest of the front. Velikiye Luki and Smolensk has fallen in the center.

In the south the soviets are running as rabbits!!!! Kiev and Dnepropetovks has fallen with no fights!!! The Dnieper has been crossed in many points and now, Kharkov, are within the strike range of the panzers...

Losses since start :

Axis/USSR

sq: 1255 / 18888
afv: 207 / 5216
guns : 148 / 6833
planes: 382 / 6118

Onward to Victory!!!!

I agree with you Josan - I'm playing K62 as well and if it wasn't for my beginners inexperience and near brutal partisan strikes which have left me 6-8 supply hexes back I think there's a pretty reasonable chance i'd be closer to Moscow than the 1 hex away i am now at the end of Sept! Of coarse, i have to play K62 again to find that out for sure, but my current game has allowed me to completly revise my German strat - for next time! At the end of my K62 game I will be posting up more maps, since I can only put up 5 at a time, and perhaps you'l be seeing the same as i am seeing!

Good luck, Josan! I hope you'l get to show ME how Germany is played by the master soon!

Looks like you're going to loose that one mate ;)
You gotta have at least encircled Moscow by this date because it will take a few weeks to eliminate the Moscow defenders even if unsupplied.
