Please Consider Making Korsun Playable in 1280 x 1024 (in the Next Patch)

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Please Consider Making Korsun Playable in 1280 x 1024 (in the Next Patch)

Post by Sgt. Beavis »

Hi there,

Just bought the game yesterday. Haven't played much, just messed with it a little. I have an LCD monitor, which runs native at 1280 x 1024. Things would look much nicer and less jagged at that resolution... not to mention I like having the higher res in and of itself :)

I suspect others would like this option as well. Thanks for listening...

WE certainly hear what people are saying about game resolutions. Unfortunately, supporting multiple resolutions will take a complete rewrite of the game engine. This would take time and money, both of which are in short supply at the moment.

We're short of time because we've spent a lot of it working on the KP patch, which contains a lot of improvements as well as bug fixes. Apart from the KP patch, we're also very busy on new game features for Battles in Normandy, which will contain even more game system changes.

Money is in short supply because large retail chains in the US are very, very leisurely about paying for their games.

When both situations improve, we will see what we can do.

Well I for one don't mind so long as it's possible for the Normandy game. I'm probably going to be picking up a new laptop within the next month or so and I seriously doubt that its native resolution will be 1072x768.
Does it really look bad when a laptop has to run at something other than its native resolution?

Gregor
Gregor that's why our Aussie economy is the best in the world.

For DB Normandy how about we use our terra firma as the supply hub for the rest of the world? What can you loose? :p

Supplying out of Australia will add additional costs to the end product I would expect, ie: it costs more to ship something to the USA from Australia then what it does from within the USA itself etc.

Although maybe Gregor and the guys could sell them out of the boot of their car, it could be cheaper that way, and then they are at least guaranteed to get some money quicker and wont have to wait for delinquent on sellers coughing up money.. :)
Isn't that bizarre?
