Jess..... How do I feel?? HOW DO I FEEL??!!
I'll tell you how I feel! I'm beginning to think you may be the lost clone of Wild Bill himself. That scenario is just plain insidious. I've played through it about 4 times now and managed to score a marginal victory at most. The battle keeps swinging back and forth on me. At one point, I'll be doing great with the enemy rolling back all over the place and then all of a sudden I'll hit a brick wall on the advance. You did a great job on this one Jess. I have to say that the small map caught me off guard at first. I thought it would be a quick scenario. What it really does is restrict the room you have to maneuver, and causes you to really decide where to commit those forces in a head-on slugging match. Victory is always a close run thing. Keep up the good work Jess.

Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?" But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll!

Where can I get your scenario?
I cannot get into the Game Depot.
bill,
Just email Jess and request him to send it to you. Check the earlier message threads from M4 Jess Housley. The instructions for him to send it to you are in it.

Bill,
I posted the scenario in this forum only as a gift to WILD BILLS RAIDERS for allowing me to join their team,, they (we) devote much of our free time to pass our joy of this great game to you. We play-test, design, and research history to bring the battles to you.. most have family and jobs, most of the Raiders have been around for years..you have a great team working for you!
Opps! I forgot.. you want the scenario.. coming at ya!

USMCGrunt,
My god man, please don put me there! I ask WB's advice for the simple things! As a old timer Wargamer, I thank you! but the "Wild man" has it down! I do thank you.. I really enjoy the boost.
PS:
I am designing the entire Capt. Miller debacle from Kassering Pass to his death at the bridge... will keep you up-dated...

The Russians just keep coming, and coming, and coming. I've lost most of my armor and have committed all of my reserves, and it ain't looking pretty. Monty would definitely hate this battlefield because its untidy, to say the least. I've taken the school house, but I don't know if my guys have enough left in 'em to go for the cross roads. The pillbox covering that area looks ominous.

Great scenario Jess! Like I said before, the small map size worked very well here. I managed a marginal victory out of it and took all the victory hexes except the two 50 point hexes on the russian side of the rail road tracks. This one requires a lot of patience and some calculated gambles. Unfortunately, some of my gambles cost me several AFVs and probably the decisive victory.
For those of you liking urban battles, this one is for you. It's even better than WB's Carenten battle in UTR (sorry Wild Bill
).

Harry, reaching the schoolhouse is not the problem but holding it is one!
One thing I really hate is the loss of AFVs because of immobilization by collapsing buildings (Why driving along the street when I could rush into a building? 8D).
