Can I install 8 on top of 7.1?

Any issues with installing 8 on top of 7.1? Will it mess up my mega campaign?

It is recommended to make a clean install. So if you have space install it separately. Thus you can continue playing your MC with the 7.1

The bad news is no, you shouldn't. The good news is, switching to v8 won't mess up your MC. Save your MegaCam directory and the MC sound files. Copy them into your new install and life will be grand.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you didn't plan your mission properly.
