Happy Birthday David Heath!

Today "The Boss" celebrates his (?) birthday. Hmm, for some reason his age isn't listed. (Executive privilege, eh? [;)]) Let's give David our best wishes.

Happy B-Day, Dave!! [:)] Of course, there are those (no names here) among the SPWAW community that may wonder why you did not list your age...[:-][:D] ...actually, I heard Glenn mention something about three digits...[X(] Good thing I am only 21...

Anyway, enjoy!

Now some of you may take this either as a good sign or a bad one. Mike Wood and I get to share the same Birthday and I could not ask for a better person to share it with. The second little known fact is that tomorrow is Brend Richards Birthday as well.

Thank you guys very much for all the birthday wishes.

David Heath! What can I say, my friend. You and I started on this odyssey together in 1997. You had just purchased The Gamers Net from Mario Kroll and was looking for something to use.

I was looking for somewhere to post a little history and a scenario every two weeks. In October of that year we joined forces and watched The Gamer's Net grow from a 1,000 vistors a month to 50 times that many in a few years.

We worked together on so many projects. Then we both agreed to make Steel Panthers a Windows compatible bang-up game with better graphics, sound and game engine.

At that point Michael Wood, whom I had known from Novastar days joined up. We really had it going.

Along the way, Brent Richards introduced himself to me and i used him for scenario testing. It was evident that this young man possessed exceptional qualities and soon he was part of the old Wild Bill Raiders team and a successful designer and writer. He for me has always been the guru on the East Front. He still is.

So David, Michael and Brent, at this festive time of the year for you three, I want to add my sincerest congratulations. Knowing you three has made me a better gamer and I believe a better man.

I suppose someday monoliths of tribute should be erected for the contribution of you three to the wargaming community!

Happy Birthday to all three of you. And thank you David, for opening a door of opportunity for me.
