New scenarios of 43 for German players to try?

Post by DiRaC »

As we all know, the scenario of 42 is already not so much fun for German. For the scenario of 43, even German player played a very good game, losing would still be just a matter of time. However, I guess the year of 43 is definitely worth to play with because of so many new weapons and the complex battlefield situation. Why not make a new fictitious scenario by using scenario editor?

In order to balance the two sides, the south and weatern fronts must be hold. Let us make a deal: reinforce the south and western fronts' panzer divs by adding full amount of new experienced tanks, but those ones cannot be used in eastern front. Also same thing happens for the air interceptors. I guess this would be a fairly reasonble game for German players at least to try.

If that is not enough, increase some cities' factories' capacitise and manpowers, but the amount changed has to be fully tested and discussed to make sure everything is balanced. It can be also applied to the year of 42.

I don't know if anyone thought this before. I am just kinda bored maybe~~

Hi PzFaust,

I've the time to play a '43 camp with you as the germans. I could do 4 turns per week, sometimes more, sometimes less.
But I have to warn you... to play the Germans in '43 can be frustrating sometimes...[8|]
If you are interested, send me an private message to clear the details.[:)]

back to the topic:
I was working on a version which includes all the late war stuff, especially regarding the air units. He-162, Do-335, Ar-234, Ta-152 etc. and the Maus as superheavy tank. And two versions of the Gustav, one early and one late version, because I don't like the crazy performance jump from the G to the K in the game. This game could be interesting in the final stages because of the very cheap He-162 which could try to oppose the russian and allied fighters hordes.
But all these changes were made only because I like these planes, and do not regard game balance. Maybe they make it a little bit easier for the Germans, but I think they will still loose.

If you want to make it more level for scenario 43', play version 3.2 and have the Soviet player using WirHack with it set to stop west and Sud front events. You can even turn off the USAAF....but I think that would make it impossible for the Sov. player. It's difficult enough, for even though the La-5fn is supposed to be equal to the Fw-190, the Sovs won't be able to be equal in any kind of aerial situation until the arrival of the La-7 and Spitfire IX.

ive had another look at the 43 camp and have to agree that the shattering of the west front happenes too often. i liked how they had divisions shattering in hq's in western front. that system would be great if it was placed in WIR .
