UV - Med??

Post by madflava13 »

For those of you who haven't seen it, I recommend checking out the 2by3 site at www.2by3games.com. There's a new developer's diary written by Joel Billings. Below is an excerpt I thought might get everyone's attention.... [:D][:D][:D]

"As for our WitP development schedule, we're shooting to be at Beta by the end of March, and to be done with the game by the end of June. As we like to say, "It's a fine goal". When WitP is done, we're seriously considering starting the active development of a War in the Mediterranean game. "

I posted over in Gen. Discussion, but no one seemed to really notice...

Thank you, lord, for the blessings we are about to receive.

I don’t want MTO game… do not throw more than 1 tomato each, please!

I really disappointed that Russian front 41-45 is “currently on hold”. MTO game will be well similar to UV. It will be just mod really, not a new game.

Subchaser,
Them's fightin' words!

I personally can't wait to see Stukas tipping over above old British 15in Battleships... U-Boats... Drooooool.

right now you can see Vals tipping over above new US battleships… I-boats… Droo~ool. :)

The same time of warfare really. I want to command large troops formations, up to fronts, in large scale maneuverable ground war. There will be enough naval battles and amphibious assaults in WitP. But if UV mod won’t take much time… well so be it.

…and… I forgot… of course I’ll buy it :)

I am personally looking forward to UV Med (if it happens). I agree it would be a 'hybrid' of UV/WITP but the period and timescale involved would make interesting scenario's.

Having said that a 41-45 Eastern Front game would also be high on my list [:)]

I agree re disappointment on the Russian front. But at least we can conduct the battle for Malta. :)

The Med theatre is perfectly scaled for a UV type game. I was thrilled when 2by3 first mentioned the possibility, and am increasingly thrilled by their committment to making it happen. One possible reason - according to the poll currently running on the Matrix site - UV leads all other Matrix games in terms of numbers of players participating in the poll (and thus games sold?).

So what does 1000 posts really mean, some people flood the forums with wothless posts. I hope they would choose beta testers in a better way. I wish they pick testers on things like time to play and UV experience, not just on posts. I want a beta tester who can play at least 5 or 6 hours or more a day during the week and a ton on the weekends.

I don't flood the forum with useless posts. This one in particular should be quite informative and useful.

Don't worry Pasternakski, I'll make up for your share of missing useless posts [:D]

Quality over Content ... Hmm, didn't a few countries loose some wars with that very same mentality?
