SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

wonder what SPWAW will be like without Wild Bill Wilder in an active role? [X(]
Don't get me wrong, many people, from David Heath, to Derek Boain, Marauder, Bernie, DoubleDeuce and others have contributed in great ways to the game....but in my mind, SPWAW is forever linked to Wild Bill, the leader of 3 of 4 MC's, and I estimate roughly 60% of the scenarios available. [:D]
Obviously WB has been hinting at this break for quite some time(anyone remember the "burnout" article he wrote for Wargamer last fall?).
BUT...he is the motivator, the life of forums, the one person EVERYONE in wargaming. What will it be like without him for awhile?[&:]

Good luck to you, sir. You are taking a well-deserved, and oft-delayed vacation from the game, and do enjoy and make the most of it. Bu...t do remember we are waiting for your MacArthur return!
BEST WISHES,
STEELER
