Although the "PacWar Version 32.txt" file says that "It starts off in U.S. East Coast attached to 4th Army and changes to SW Pacific in January 1945 and is 'magically transported to' (i.e., rises up) a Philippine base," this statement is not entirely correct. Yes, Eastern U.S. is a 4th Army (Restricted Base/can't change to a different HQ). But notice that Guerilla Army is attached to SW Pacific at the START of the game!
This means that you can try the *very* gamey trick below:
Load Campaign 41 (obc41) into the editor (pacwared21.xls). Notice that "Eastern U.S." (base #199) has four hidden one-way paths to Central U.S., England, Calcutta, and Colombo for Supply purposes. What does that mean? Yes-- you can march (teleport?) the Guerilla Army into Calcutta.
(In one of my game against the AI, I stopped the Japanese at Mandalay using a mix of Inidan Divisions, Chinese Armies (those attached to CBI Command), Dutch units evacuated from Java, and the Guerilla Army. (Yes, I know it's way too unhistorical since this would be politically inpossible.) Later, in 1944, I invaded Philippines using the Filipino units that I managed to evacuate, PLUS the Guerilla Army.
