Mini-Campaign Czechoslovakia vs. Germany 1938

Hi everybody,

I reworked my mini-campaign (Czechoslovakia 1938).

It can be downloaded at:

Short description:
Version:
Tested with SPWAW 8.0
Slot: 32
Sides:
Czechoslovakia (human) vs. Germany (computer)
Number of nodes: 12
To be played with C&C off

Players core force consists of 1 HQ and four vz.35-tanks.

It is October 1938, and after the conference of Munich the Czechoslovakia is forced to give up a big part of her territories to Germany.
In this hypothetical campaign, the Czechs refuse to do so and fight alone against the numerically superior German army.
The campaign covers the first days of that hypothetical war.
The scenarios are small, quick to play and easy to win - so it should be an interesting campaign for beginners (and those who always wanted to play from the Czechoslovakian point of view).

I published the first version of this campaign in fall 2003 and asked for feedback.
I made the following main changes in this 2nd version:

4th battle (Node 003):
Completely reworked.
Border is now secured by recon teams.
Artillery arrives as reinforcements.
At the begining, German tanks have broken through the border.
Still, this node is (IMO) the problem child of this campaign.
5th battle (node 004):
The road to nebesa - scenario length changed from 12 to 20 and added additional Sudeten militia.
Now the player must arrive at Nebesa in order to save it.
11th battle (nodes 010/011):
The battle was unplayable.
I split it of into two battles (on the same map):
The 11th battle is the border-crossing into Germany with the destruction of a train and a german assembly point, the second is the capture of Bad Brambach.

I think that this will be the final version (unless there are serious problems with Version 8.02).
At this point I would like to say a big thank you to all who played the first version and provided me with their feedback - without this feedback and the hints, I would have been unable to remove some of the major flaws.

Wargamer.com, I'd say. No need to register in order to d/l like in some other places and you'll get wider coverage..top scenarios from their archive have thousands of downloads.

And people, this campaign was quite good before and with the improvements surely even better. Definitely worth a try.

I seem to recall playing this campaign many months ago... maybe even a year ago. I was impressed by it then, and will definitely give this new version a try...

I think that this was around october 2003...
As I mentioned in the first post, the only major changes where nodes 003, 004 and 010.
