or it is mainly for multiplayer? If it is for multi player, where you find your opponents?
Thanks

It's both. Personally I'm almost totally single player due to time restraints. It's AI is very capable... for an AI[;)] There are also some multiplayers out there and they can probably give you a better answer as to the multiplayer aspects, but I know there are some threads in the 'Opponent's Wanted' forum reguarding this.

I can only speak for myself, but I play it solely as singleplayer. Like the previous comment, I live in a small corner of the world and I haven't tried to make up a multiplayer match yet (Although I wouldn't mind.... maybe when I have holidays from work&father&chores... hmmm....October 2028 sounds like I may be available!)

So to answer the title questione, TOSWS is an absoluetly fantastically fun single player game. The AI can be quite nasty at times [:D] *but never cheats* (unlike other 'strategy' games).

Be warned though, it's as addictive as something really addictive!

I purchased this game a while ago around the time it was released
I never played a shareware version so it took me sometime to understand call to move kind of thing
(I got a lot of help from this forum at that time)
The first thing I tried was deep core(?) (I cannot exactly remember)
But at that time, even though I finally understood how each step of war proceed in this game, I thought that the deepcore campaign was basically getting in at one
end of the corner and exit using the other.

When you play single player, do you play duel type of game rather than campaign?
Which one might be more interesting to newb gamers like myself to try out, campaign or custom battle?
If custom campaign, do you prefer duel or 3 vs 3 etc?
Thank you

Deep Core is very easy, it's ment to give a newbie player a lot of leeway as they pick up the game concepts and mechanics. If you have a good understanding of how things work it's probably time to move on. The other campaigns are much harder, ment to test players who grasp the game.

I do a pretty good mix of things. The campaigns and a lot of random battles in varying terrains. Just starting out I'd play a random battle or 2 agianst almost equal odds and see how you do, if you can handle that then you can handle the campaigns. Personally I like squads with 3-5 titans best, but also enjoy quick game with only 1 titan. I know there are plenty of players here that find 8 member squads a blast (at higher levels, once you have some money). It boils down to personal preference, the game can accomadate whatever you find that you prefer. BTW, the campaigns have suggestions on what level and how much tonnage the missions are designed for.
