This game looks completely awesome!

I'm a jumpgate addict looking for a new game should my beloved eventually bite the bullet. As a result, I'm hugely enjoying the 'relaxed' physics mode :). Amazing work on the part of the dev(s).

edit: Quick question: Is the modding system flexible enough to (for example) allow the creation of a rechargeable shield for a fighter class ship? I have evil designs on creating a Jumpgate-esque mod for the game :)

I don't think it has been tried. You'dneed a bigger fusion reactor but I don't see why it wouldn't work..

Hey Zaltys, Veloxi here, glad to see another JG addict finally checked out SS. It will indeed be an awesome game, if the betas are any indication. Also, keep an eye out for my preview on The Wargamer. ;) Good to see ya. :)

There's so much crazy crap you can do with the shields, its not even funny. About the only thing you can't do is have more than one shield generator. ;)

You can use ship model as shield model. Keep that in your mind and it isn't too difficult. Of course if you want get headache by fiddling around with shield textures and other things, you can do it.

Poseidon... the idiot that flies the gust when everyone is in something.. heavier and faster

It's not my fault someone actually read greek mythology and created a Poseidon here before me....

Ah, sweet as. Yeah, Gust isn't the uber-annoyance it once was with the shield upgrades all the ships got around retail. Still, much respect for flying it occasionally.
