SO did I tonight, I was at BW3's with my wife for 4 hours drinking many beers. So all I have to say tonight is Rock on and God Bless America.

Damn the dreaded double post. I guess that is what happens when you drink 17 beers.

I think I own the double posts, or I have drank (17) way to many beers tonight.

...AND!

I don't think the "American League" means shiite! What does the manager do with a friggin" DH? I love pitchers that can slam a 4 run homer! Dan's the man![&o]

The EXPOS manager of all time was????? (I argue one of the best in baseball the last twenty years...)

Felipe Alou![&o]

90% chance hockey will have a strike next year.
It will actualy be a good thing. No salary cap would of killed off half the teams anyways.

I want a cap, I live in Columbus. and I don't think it will kill off there team. They don't spend much and sell out about evey game.

Hockey strike a done deal. Stupid...! Bitch because the union says it's good but six teams may fold. Hmmm. Less jobs for the already overpaid so I think the players should shake their "collective" heads.

I really don't get it. For the TV contract they get they make way to much. I think they need a strike. Bring the pay down. There TV contract doesn't give them nearly enough money to meet the demanda of over 20% of the teams.

My cousin is Shawn Donovan. #16 on Calgary. I'm going to hear about the loss forever! Calgary should have won based on the replay...that was a goal in game six! Why do so many sports ignore the value of technology? Not like it was an "artistic call" in figure skating!

To me even if it went in, it seemed to me that it went in off the players skate.

Is it just me or should ones BOSS make more money than the EMPLOYEES? The owners made the league as we know it. Perhaps the players should create their own league and charge "yet more" for a pint and a dead pig's unmentionables...screw the kids and the paying fanbase. Go capitalism and the North American advertising way!

Be happy with what ya got, take any endorsements if you are good enough, and shut the **** up! My cousin Shawn got a $400,000 US bonus on top of his salary just to start in San Jose TEN years ago! He then played with Colorado and Atlanta, all US cash at about 1 MILLION/year! F**k the strike! Why? Some lawyer says it is righteous? GREED is one of the 7 deadly sins and lawyers are experts at gluttony. (spellings sucks when hosed)

I hate the DH that is not baseball.

I used to think that way, but without the DH great guys like Edgar Martinez would not be able to keep playing! As I approach geezerhood, I'm beginning to appreciate the rule...

Me too, but I'd rather wipe my own butt! Don't see too many geezers playing rugby union professionally. Serious sports and a good golf swing should not mix. Get off the pitch and keep it real![:D]
