Training Effects on Morale

Post by nerod »

With an air unit that has low morale, is it better to train them to raise their spirts, or is it better to completely "stand down" the unit so the boys can just sit around the local bars drinking beer all day doing nothing, except - of course - getting into fist fights with the marines on leave?

Probably do nothing, but in a good base with good supplies (four times the monthly need). A big non-malarial base (Noumea, Truk, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville, Charter Towers) if possible.

The squadron commanders ratings will make a large difference also. Those with good ratings( 70+) will get their guys in line quickly out of combat. Those with 60- will take a long time.
